The parents were visible at the school and took suggestions from me well. There were very proactive in the educational process.

\nLooking at my life, the whole neighborhood played a role in that. I knew that as a young child if I came home from school and no one was there that I could go to about 4 other neighbors' houses I could go to until my parents came home. Also in my house there was no disrespecting a teacher because I knew that my parents weren't having it.

\nTechnology come into play because kids spend so much time alone that technology is how they connect to the real world, which can be good or bad.
